Assembly Instructions For The 5-gallon Brewer
 
             
 

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
(See safety instructions) NOT FOR COMMERCIAL USE

Your kit should include the following: (You will need to provide your own 5 gallon bucket: IMPORTANT! The 5 gallon container you use must be contaminant-free. Recycling a bucket that has previously contained food is okay but must be cleaned thoroughly. Any container previously containing anything like paint or any other substance with toxicity, must NOT BE USED.)

1 rubber stopper
1 rigid coil
1 plastic elbow
2 straight plastic tubes


1 flexible hose
1 motor
1 bucket lid

3 brewing kits

 

 

STEP 1

Check the above parts list to make sure you have everything you will need.
     

 

STEP 2

Insert stopper into inside end of coil if it is not already in place.

STEP 3 

Attach 90-degree elbow to outside of coil. Sometimes the fitting is out of round. By placing the fitting in warm water or warming with a hair dryer the fitting will become softer (pliable), easily slipping on to the coil or straight pipes.

STEP 4

Attach the 2 straight tubes together. Make sure the 3 small holes are at the top

STEP 5

Attach the assembled tubes to the elbow with the small holes pointing to the center of the bucket.

STEP 6

Attach the flexible hose to the top of the straight tubes and to the motor.

STEP 7

Press the assembled coil (holes facing up) securely to the bottom of the 5 gallon bucket (not included). Make sure the three holes are not covered with water when filling the bucket.

  STEP 8
Fill the bucket with 70 degree (tepid) water to just below the 3 holes in the straight tubes. Turn the motor on and let it bubble for 20 minutes to remove impurities and chlorine.

STEP 9

Pour contents of the microbe food (in clear plastic) into the water.

STEP 10

Place mesh bag in the water.

  STEP 11
Place the lid on the bucket. Brew for 12 continuous hours. IF TEMPERATURES FOR THE BREWER ARE COLDER THAN 65 DEGREES, YOU WILL NEED TO BREW IT LONGER, AT LEAST AN ADDITIONAL 3 HOURS. If temperatures are above 95 degrees it can shorten the life of the motor or burn it out. The motor is cooled as air passes through the motor and if air is hot it will not provide adequate cooling for the motor.
 
               
 

LIMITED WARRANTY
This warranty covers service/labor to the original consumer owner to repair or replace plastic parts for 90 days labor, 1 year parts from the date of the original consumer retail purchase. The air pump is designed for residential use only and is warranted for 60 days.

This warranty does not include: 1) failure due to lack of normal maintenance, such as cleaning, 2) damage from misuse, abuse or accident, natural disasters or Acts of God, 3) use in a foreign country, 4) KIS product which has been modified in any way or incorporated into other products, 5) assembly and service adjustments, 6) damage caused by the shipping company or carrier
